Nov' hasn't been very kind;exams,quarrels,tight schedule.
Girls, let me tell you how i got my boyf. to feed me with flowers every now and then.
So i was shopping at ikea with him, and a clear jug caught my eyes.
Since,I didn't want to throw away all the pretty bouquets he got me;
so i decided to make them into dry flowers.
Me: I shall get this jug and collect all the flowers you gave me
He: * Beamed at me *
Me: I think I will need more flowers to fill this jug,hmmm
He: Are you like hinting me ? ? ?
Me: *Giggles* (yes boy, like obviously)
Perhaps this is the reason why he got me red,pink,white roses,sunflower and many more to come
(* coughs *, boyf if you are even reading about this). Or he is just hopelessly romantic.
Sometimes your flowers might rot and attract weird crawlies ( i spotted a worm in my first bouquet after leaving it for a week).
Here's 3 speedy steps to preserve your flowers:
1. Trim your flowers, keep those parts that you want to keep.
( you may want to trim the stems too)
2. Place them in a porcelain bowl and microwave it.
( Bear in mind that different microwave transmits different radio waves so you might wanna test it with one stalk of flower/a few petals to find the right temp and time)
( The purpose of microwaving the flowers, is to quicken the drying up process.As long as your flowers are dry,you are all good to proceed on)
3. Optional,sprinkle some sea salt in your air-tight jug.
( Sea salt has a special fragrance and it can act as a drying agent for flowers that are not completely dry)
